Experiencing the other side of your trauma

You’ve gone through a traumatic event or experience. This existential therapy practice has you imagining, feeling, and seeing yourself on the other side of what you’re going through now.

This is also a powerful manifestation technique to put yourself in the energy of that which you desire.

The next time you catch yourself longing to feel another way. Try this.

Find somewhere to be free of distractions. Close your eyes or soften your gaze. Breathe. In your minds eye, see yourself on the other side of your traumatic experience, the problem you’re facing, the decision you’re making, or whatever it is currently standing in your way. See yourself doing what you’d like to do, feeling how you’d like to feel, in places you’d like to be, and those you’d like to be with. Spend time enjoying this place and these experiences and see yourself on the other side of where you are not. Who is there? Where are you? What resources are within and around you? From seeing yourself on the other side, you can work back to where you are today and see the steps and actions with greater clarity.
